Northwood Elementary Raises Over 2,000lbs of Pet Food for DaisyCares

We want to send out a THANK YOU to all of the amazing folks over at San Antonio’s Northwood Elementary for hosting a DaisyCares pet food drive!!!

“The work of the individual still remains the spark that moves mankind ahead even more than teamwork.”
~ Igor Sikorsky

We’re extremely grateful to Ellie Zinsmeister, the individual who sparked this pet food drive into existence!!! In a drive spearheaded by Ellie, the wonderful kids over at Northwood raised over 2,000 lbs of pet food for the pets affected by the Bastrop area wildfires!

All of the donations benefited the Bastrop County Animal Shelter via the DaisyCares Pet Food Program – a program designed to provide struggling families and individuals with pet food assistance for their cats and dogs.

Want to help families and pets stay together? Anyone can easily host a virtual or traditional pet food drive for their work, school or community organization. To get started, contact DaisyCares for more information.

Thanks again to everyone at San Antonio’s Northwood Elementary for taking the time to help animals in our community!!!
