Who is DaisyCares?
DaisyCares is a 501(c)(3) corporation that is committed to helping needy pets by providing assistance to their owners, by way of pet food, pet supplies and medical care.
Why was DaisyCares created?
DaisyCares was created to reduce the number of abandoned, neglected and euthanized pets by helping needy families keep and care for their pets. DaisyCares’ approach to helping pets is “pre-abandonment”, so that pets are able to stay at home with their families (and out of pounds and shelters). DaisyCares also strives to prevent pet euthanasia by helping economically challenged pet owners with the cost of lifesaving veterinary procedures.
How do people receive food from DaisyCares Pet Food Program?
The DaisyCares Pet Food Program will provide pet food to families through the San Antonio Food Bank’s established network of partner agencies already providing emergency food assistance to families and individuals in need. Families in need of pet food may contact the San Antonio Food Bank’s Social Services Outreach team at (210) 431-8326.
The DaisyCares Pet Food Program will endeavor to provide food to at least 1900 families per month.
How do people receive assistance through DaisyCares Veterinary Care Program?
DaisyCares provides direct grants to qualifying applicants’ veterinarians. Applicants are encouraged to review the Application Process & Eligibility Criteria details before completing the Online Assistance Application.
How is DaisyCares funded?
DaisyCares is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on donations and self generated revenue to operate. We are not affiliated with any national organizations and do no receive support from the city, county, state or federal agencies. You are welcome to visit our donate page to make a tax-deductible contribution.
